About IEEE CLOUD 2017
Being the first IEEE conference dedicated on cloud computing, IEEE International Conference on Cloud Computing (CLOUD) has been a prime international forum for both researchers and industry practitioners to exchange the latest fundamental advances in the state of the art and practice of cloud computing, identify emerging research topics, and define the future of cloud computing. All topics regarding cloud computing align with the theme of CLOUD. In 2017, we will celebrate our 10th version of gathering, to strive to advance the largest international professional forum on cloud computing.
Cloud Computing has become a scalable services consumption and delivery platform in the field of Services Computing. The technical foundations of Cloud Computing include Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Virtualizations of hardware and software. The goal of Cloud Computing is to share resources among the cloud service consumers, cloud partners, and cloud vendors in the cloud value chain. The resource sharing at various levels results in various cloud offerings such as infrastructure cloud (e.g., hardware, IT infrastructure management), software cloud (e.g. SaaS focusing on middleware as a service, or traditional CRM as a service), application cloud (e.g., Application as a Service, UML modeling tools as a service, social network as a service), and business cloud (e.g., business process as a service).
CLOUD 2017 will co-locate with the following service-oriented sister conferences: the 24th IEEE International Conference on Web Services (ICWS 2017), the 14th IEEE International Conference on Services Computing (SCC 2017), the 6th International Congress on Big Data (c), the 6th IEEE International Conference on AI & Mobile Services (AIMS 2017), and the IEEE 2017 World Congress on Services (SERVICES 2017). All six co-located theme topic conferences will all center around "services," while each focusing on exploring different themes (web-based services, cloud-based services, Big Data-based services, services innovation lifecycle, mobile services, and industry-specific services and enabling technologies).
Extended versions of selected research track papers will be invited for special issues in the IEEE Transactions on Services Computing (TSC), International Journal of Cloud Computing, International Journal of Web Services Research (JWSR), and International Journal of Business Process Integration and Management (IJBPIM). Both TSC and JWSR are indexed by SCI and EI [Link]. TSC's Impact Factor in 2014 is 3.049. JWSR is SCI & EI indexed. CLOUD Proceedings are EI indexed.
To discuss this emerging enabling technology of the modern services industry, CLOUD 2017 invites you to join the largest academic conference to explores modern services and software sciences in the field of Services Computing, which was formally promoted by IEEE Computer Society since 2003. Services Computing has become a cross-discipline that covers the science and technology of bridging the gap between Business Services and IT Services. The underneath breaking technology suite includes Web services and service-oriented architecture (SOA), cloud computing, business consulting methodology and utilities, business process modeling, transformation and integration. This scope of Services Computing covers the whole lifecycle of services innovation research that includes business componentization, services modeling, services creation, services realization, services annotation, services deployment, services discovery, services composition, services delivery, service-to-service collaboration, services monitoring, services optimization, as well as services management. The goal of Services Computing is to enable IT services and computing technology to perform business services more efficiently and effectively.
About the Services Society
The Services Society is a non-profit professional organization that has been created to promote worldwide research and technical collaboration in Services Computing among academia and industrial professionals. Its members are volunteers from industry and academia with common interests. The Services Society is registered in the USA as a "501(c) organization", which means that it is an American tax-exempt nonprofit organization. The Services Society collaborates with other professional organizations such as the IEEE to sponsor conferences and to promote an effective services curriculum in colleges and universities.
